About RAKSHANA

RAKSHANA is a Non-profit, Non-Governmental Voluntary Organization, registered at Indian Societies Registration act XXI of 1860 with the Registration No.314 of 1993.  The Society was formed by a group of Social Workers, Professionals with a view to facilitate the sustainable empowerment of the Socio-economic under privileged communities by organizing and capacitating them to eliminate, social economic, Political, Cultural, Physical, Psychological and Environmental barriers to their development.

The organization aims at developing people by animation in their social awareness and inculcating self sufficiency and solidarity among themselves since its inception the organization has been very active in taking up several village developmental programs in partnership with respective rural communities for the empowerment of poor and marginalized communities such as Fisher Folk, Scheduled Tribes, Scheduled Castes and other backward classes.

Organization is presently operational at 140 villages in 14 mandals of Prakasam,Guntur Visakhapatnam and Vizianagaram Districts ( Andhra Pradesh)with the approximate staff of 75, contributing their services at both office and field level. Apart from the main office at Chirala (Prakasam District), staff is accessible to four additional field offices at Vodarevu, Epurupalem, Koyyavaripalem, Araku Valley and Mentada to implement the activities more effectively and become accessible to the needy people

The program and financial staff are having strong educational and equipped with rich experience. Our Team is capacitated in every aspect of development and they can easily accommodate to any kind of situation or program.
